Dark Matter

Shooter. Dark Matter invites players to be carried in future at distant corner of the galaxy, where a prominent scientist has discovered rich energy source that may supply all the people with the necessary energy. But large corporations seize the source turning the planet into chaos. Only you, a brave warrior can defeat ruthless invaders and restore the former prosperity to the people. Take an ultra modern space ship and go ahead for victory and glory! Be ready to destroy various enemy space crafts and asteroids as you advance in the game. There is great variety of deadly weapons to your disposal that are upgraded with your progress. Try two intense game modes: Campaign and Challenge to choose a favorite one. Campaign Mode offers you to fight through 30 thrilling levels and save distant civilization. Challenge Mode is non stop action, where you should survive as long as you can.  

Dark Matter is an intense shooter that features good graphics, diverse sound effects and appropriate electronic music. One of highlights is amazing cosmic backgrounds, which are animated and well done. Your spaceship looks like tiny fly that is placed in the center of the screen; you may move it with thrusts but it is quite difficult to stop the moving spacecraft. In-game options allow adjusting music, sound effects, screen mode and resolution. All-in-all, Dark Matter is a remake of the classic arcade game Asteroids that will be interesting for all fans of this genre.
